As added income we were also planning to do different value added products from the farm and be able to
process using the kitchen to do so on the days or hours the Restaurant was closed. Construction was
finished in January 2008.

Bulidings:

The corn crib is 30’ x 50’ and is on one side only. The upper side is a shed for storage. We finished
construction in November 2007. The building is a sturdy construction made of oak lumber.

The shop is 30’ x 40’ and we use this for farm equipment repair. The building is a wood structure half up
with blocks and the remaining is a wood structure with siding. The building is 7 years old and in very good
condition.

We have a chicken house on the property complete with chicken coops and roosting racks.  We have
turned this little building into a craft store named the Little Red Hens Crafts.

We have a stock barn on the property for birthing calves. This structure is connected to the 8 large cattle
pens built using pressure treated 6  x 6 posts and 2 x 6 pressure treated boards.  The scale house is
covered with a cattle chute for working the animals hassle free. The working pens have the only state
approved scales in 3 counties and about 13 of the cattle farmers in the area use the pens to sell the cattle
to feed lots out west. This happens in late October. The farmers pay a fee to use the facility.
There is also one large shed on the property for storing the farm equipment in the dry.

Land:

The Farm is beautiful and it sits at the base of the Firetower Cottle Knobs, with plenty of white tail deer,
bear, turkey and any other WV wildlife you can imagine.
The land is 80 acres you can drive the tractor over for meadow of pasture, or crops. The remaining 20 is
strictly pasture for the cows they are hollows where we have 4 spring fed ponds, also there is a creek
running thru the meadow.

We raise about 12 acres of crops every year to sell for farm income we have markets for those locally and
people love coming to the farm for the local produce.  Also we support the restaurant in the summer time
with the vegetables needed. The farm also comes with a 2004 McCormick 85-horsepower 4-wheel drive
tractor in excellent condition.
